Welcome Week Was a Blast!

Y'all. I don't even know how to talk about what a crazy three weeks we've had welcoming students to UNT, TWU, and NCTC campuses. Here's some pictures to give you an idea of what we've been a part of!

We kicked everything off with a day to train our student leaders for the mini mission trip they were about to set out on - to their own campus. That day ended so sweetly with five corefas choosing to be baptized!

Then we got to work! Sent out with prayer and a vision to invite people into Jesus-loving friendship, students spent as much time as they could on campus. We hung out in the union, played board games, and hosted fun hangouts.

34 weeks pregnant and tired!

You might have heard but this generation of students is hungry for spiritual depth. We've met so many people who are eager to find ways to get involved in the ministry and many of them have not grown up in church! We're praying for them to find the meaningfulness in Jesus they seem desperate for. It's exciting to get to watch God meet needs we don't even fully understand yet.

Last Thursday, we had our first Thursday Night Fellowship! (Y'all should have seen the absolute scramble I was doing to get us a room big enough to fit all the people we were meeting.) The Lord provided and we got to have TNF in this giant room that did not feel so giant once 350 students filed in!

What's crazy to me about this picture is that, while some of the people here would have found us through Instagram or wandered in, most of them would have been personally met and invited by someone. We love to say "one on one is how it's done" but it's so cool to see the fruit of that here.

TWU cores started this week, here's some pics from those! We've met such sweet girls on campus; I can't wait to see how God shapes them and our community there.

And we launched a new campus at NCTC Flower Mound, joining our efforts at NCTC Corinth. I got to meet a couple girls from the Flower Mound campus last night at TNF, so cool! It's exciting to see some momentum on those campuses build after not much traction for years.

What a cool start to the year. God seems to be doing something special right now and it's humbling to be a small part of it.

Prayer Requests
- Pray for the students we've met to prioritize a relationship with Jesus in the context of community.
- Pray for God to keep providing the spaces we need to host the people He's bringing around.
- Pray for NCTC and the other community colleges in the metroplex.
- Pray for me, too! I'm at the tail end of this pregnancy with just about a month left.

I hope you are encouraged by the work God is doing on these campuses! Thank you for being such an essential part of it!
Love y'all,
