Summer is Here!

Is the summer flying by for anyone else?? Wow, it's been a whirlwind! Our staff has been hard at work getting things ready for next year. We had a couple of big planning days to dream up big ideas with God. We want to really welcome and bless the people coming on campus this fall!

We were a bit tired and loopy by the end. I love hanging out with these goofballs though!

The main thing we do for the students over the summer is Summer FOCUS. It's our weekly fellowship meeting but people still in town from all our campuses across the metroplex get together. It's amazing seeing students give up part of their summer, often taken only to be for lazy days, to come worship God, pour into others, and be known.

I also gave a sermon at our church, Denton North. I'll link it in case you want to check it out! We're in a series on 1&2 Samuel and as we've been reading, I've been consistently reminded of God's goodness and grace. These people are broken and often seek chaos, revealing a deep need for the Lord to restore them. The main point in my sermon was literally to cling to God. In the midst of turmoil, uncertainty, and unrest, all David could do was fix his eyes on the Lord and keep going. This isn't the practical application I'm often looking for, but God is the one to need us where we're at and carry us through. Praise God for his faithfulness because I drop the ball far too often.

Last thing!

I'm in the midst of my fundraising season for next year. Currently I'm looking to raise another $900 a month. I love that I get to partner with so many generous people who are excited about the work God is doing on these campuses! If you are interested in giving or increasing your support, you can do so at anyfocus.churchcenter.com and find my name in the dropdown. As always, I so appreciate your support and prayers.

The other thing I'm looking to do this season is make more connections. If you have anyone in your network who loves God and might be excited to hear about what I’m doing, I would love to talk to them!

I hope you are well. Love y'all!
